"Jeu de ligne" is my latest generative art collection that explores the relationships between particles, noise, constraints, and movement. The artwork is built upon a flow field of particles that acts as the foundation of the composition. However, the magic lies in the movement of the entire composition within a constrained canvas. "Jeu de ligne" is my latest generative art collection that explores the relationships between particles, noise, constraints, and movement. The artwork is built upon a flow field of particles that acts as the foundation of the composition. However, the magic lies in the movement of the entire composition within a constrained canvas. As the composition glides across the canvas, clusters of particles become trapped along the edges. Then, acting as a stamp, it leaves an imprint of particles in its wake, from which an intricate network of lines emerges, intertwining and evolving as the composition continues its journey. The composition's constrained movement gives rise to a sense of controlled chaos, resulting in a satisfying balance between organized rhythms and unexpected effects. This project is the culmination of countless hours of exploration and development over the span of six months. During that time, I explored what was possible with Perlin Noise without falling into the traps of yet another "flow field" project. "Jeu de Ligne" is a French title. It is literally translated as “Line Game”. Although in this case, "Jeu" means more than just "game."
